Initial Naturopathic office visit:
There are two main options for initial Naturopathic consultations: a 90 minute first Naturopathic consult or a 2 hour Naturopathic consult incorporating acupuncture therapy. The first visit is essential in establishing the health goals that you would like to work with. Emphasis is placed on investigating the whole person (mind, body, spirit) and finding the root cause of the disease. The time spent is essential and will give Dr. Nguyen time to discuss with you your health concerns, review medical history, perform indicated physical examinations, and come up with a basic treatment plan.
Naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine complement each other greatly, and the integration of both will give you quick results as well as a broad selection of choices for effective treatment. Some of the possible treatment recommendations include individualized dietary and lifestyle recommendations, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicines, therapeutic exercise, physical medicine, hydrotherapy, and homeopathy. Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy will be recommended when appropriate. All treatment plans are based on the Six Principles of Naturopathic Medicine: do no harm, treat the cause, work with the body to heal itself when possible, treat the whole person, educate the patient, and focus on prevention. An introductory optimal wellness folder is provided with information and handouts to get you started on your path to greater wellness.
15- minute free consultation: Dr. Nguyen allows a 15-minute consultation as an opportunity for those curious about Naturopathic Medicine and wondering whether Dr. Nguyen’s approach will be beneficial for them. This can be done in the office, by email, or phone. She will answer general questions that you have, but will not give any specific recommendations or therapy until the initial office visit.
Consultations with Dr. Nguyen integrates both Naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine and treatment plans are tailored to the needs of the individual. Office visits can be integrated or separated for those who want to focus on a specific approach.
Naturopathic medicine and Acupuncture (2 hours): $275
Initial naturopathic medicine visit with acupuncture therapy.
Initial Consult for Naturopathic medicine (1 ½ hours): $225
Includes medical history intake, physical exams, and recommendations for naturopathic therapies.
Initial Consult for Acupuncture (1 ½ hours): $150
Includes medical history intake based on Chinese medicine, physical exams, and acupuncture therapy.
Follow-up visits available range from 15 minutes to 1 hour:
Naturopathic medicine (15-45 minutes): $35-$100
Acupuncture therapy only (45 minutes-1 hour): $75
Naturopathic medicine and Acupuncture therapy (75 minute): $150
Package plans available for a course of acupuncture treatments at a reduced fee following the initial consult.
Shorter follow-up return visits are also available for wellness packages or check-ups. Call our office for more information.
Please be aware that payment is expected at the time of service. Labs and Naturopathic supplements are not included in the office visit fees and are separate fees. Cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Our office does not bill insurance companies directly, however, upon request, we will gladly provide the necessary form for you to send to your insurance company for reimbursement. A Basic Health Insurance questionnaire is provided for you to help guide you in asking specific questions to see if your insurance company will cover Naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, or other holistic medical services.
Consultation, supplements and alternative labs may be covered for those who have a flexible spending acount or health savings account as part of your medical expenses.
Standard labs are performed by Labcorp and can be ordered by Dr. Nguyen. These labs may be covered for by your insurance company if they are contracted with Labcorp. You can check Labcorp for a list of insurance companies that they are contracted with www.Labcorp.com. It is best to ask you insurance company specifically what laboratory you must go to. The Basic Health Insurance questionnaire is a guide to help you find out what your insurance covers.
Some alternative labs offered at our office may not be covered for by your insurance company.
Listed are some examples, but not all of the labs that Dr. Nguyen can order to get more information to assess your health condition.
Please download the Patient Initial Intake Form from our website and take the time to fill it out as completely as possible. The answers you provide will give Dr. Nguyen an understanding of you or your child as a whole person and will greatly aid in the evaluation of your health conditions.

Please send the form 2 days prior to your first visit. If you should experience any problems saving or e-mailing the Patient Initial Intake Form, please print a copy and fax the form to the office at 1-866-931-0815. If you have a copy of any recent labs that would be helpful, bring those with you. Furthermore, bring in any medications, vitamins and supplements that you are currently taking.
